 The Boy and His Empty Basin

Long, long time ago there lived a king. He was very old and he no own children. So he wanted to select a new king in the country.

One day, the king asked his ministers to give all the children in the country some flowers seeds and told them, “Who can plant the most beatiful flowers will be the king” and then the children took home the seeds that the king had given to care for.

A child named David planted the seeds and looked after them carefully. But day after day, no flower came out from the basin. He was very disappointed. He began to worry and thought about replacing it with other seeds. However, he remembers that cheating is not a good thing, so he discourages from replacing it with other seeds.

It was time to show the beatiful flowers. The children from all over the country came with their beatiful flowers with the happy face.

The king walked in front of the children. When he saw the beatiful flowers, he was very unhappy. 

Suddenly, he saw a child carrying an empty basin with a disappointed face. But the king was very glad and asked the boy, “Why do carry an empty basin?” The boy cried and told him truth. 

The king laughed, “You are an honest boy. You will be the king.” Because the fact, the seeds had been boiled. -Kev
